Conversation, Collaboration, and Support of the Work
The Work may be encountered in more than one way. Some people come to read it; some come to speak with Kyra directly about something they are meeting in their own life; some come because they recognize what the writing is and want to see it continue. This page describes those three pathways plainly, so that you can tell which one is yours — or recognize that none of them is what you are looking for right now.
BEFORE CHOOSING A PATHWAY
Participation begins with discernment
Nothing here is a package, and none of it is meant for everyone. Each pathway is described the same way — what it is, who it may be appropriate for, what it is not, and how it begins — so that the differences between them are visible rather than implied.
Reading is a complete form of participation on its own. Many people will find what they came for in the Writings and never need to make contact, and that is not a lesser outcome. The Work is written down precisely so that it does not depend on access to Kyra.
Each pathway begins with an inquiry rather than a booking. An inquiry is simply a description of what you are meeting and what you are asking for. It opens a question of fit — in both directions — and it does not establish a working relationship.
01
Individual Conversations
A purposeful one-to-one conversation with Kyra, for a person meeting a threshold, a pattern, a transition, or a question in their own life.
What it is
Close attention given to what is actually happening in your life, and to what would have to become different for what you already sense to be lived. Kyra may illuminate, reflect, challenge, and recognize patterns. She does not supply you with your truth, and she does not become the permanent source of your direction.
Who it may be appropriate for
Someone standing at a threshold or inside a transition. Someone meeting a pattern they can feel but cannot yet name. Someone who has read something here and recognized their own situation in it. Someone prepared to carry what becomes visible rather than have it resolved on their behalf.
What it is not
It is not psychotherapy, treatment, or crisis care. It is not unrestricted access to Kyra, and it is not a standing arrangement. It is not a promise of clarity, healing, transformation, or any other particular result. It is not a place to be told what to do.
How it begins
With an inquiry describing what you are meeting and what you are asking for. If it seems appropriate, Kyra will respond and propose a first conversation. If it does not, she will say so, and where she can she will point toward something more suitable.
One conversation is sometimes enough. Whether anything continues is considered afterward, and only where it would be genuinely useful.
02
Collaborative Projects
Work alongside people, writers, practitioners, organizations, or projects where Kyra’s perception and the Stillpoint framework may contribute to something already underway.
What it is
Participation in an actual undertaking — a book, a body of research, a practice, a program, an organization at a structural turning point. The shape of the work is drawn from the project itself: what it is trying to become, and what is currently in the way of that. There is no standard form it takes.
Who it may be appropriate for
Writers, practitioners, researchers, founders, and teams whose shared undertaking has outgrown the structure it began with, and who want clearer architecture rather than a set of recommendations. It suits people who are willing to have the actual difficulty named.
What it is not
It is not a consulting package, a fixed methodology, or a deliverable purchased in advance. It is selective and relational, and the number of projects held at one time is small. An inquiry is not an application, and there is no expectation that every inquiry leads to a collaboration.
How it begins
With an inquiry describing the project, who is involved, where it currently stands, and what you believe is unresolved in it. A few paragraphs is more useful than a formal proposal.
Case and project papers are published only with consent and context. Taking part in a project creates no obligation to write about it, and writing about it is never assumed.
03
Sponsorship & Patronage
Support for the continued writing, research, publishing, and development of Stillpoint Company, from individuals and aligned partners who recognize the value of the Work existing in the world.
What it is
The writing and editing of the papers and the books. Research. Educational materials. The technology, publishing, and archive that make the Work readable, linkable, and durable. And the development of forms the Work has not yet taken — study formats, recordings, and work that is still ahead of its own infrastructure.
Who it may be appropriate for
A person or an aligned organization who has read the Work, recognizes what it is, and wishes to see it extended over time — through financial support, resources, capability, or a longer strategic partnership.
What it is not
Stillpoint Company is a private company, not a public cause, and this is not an appeal. There are no tiers, no suggested amounts, no rewards, and no public recognition attached to support. Support does not purchase influence over the Work, its direction, or what is published.
How it begins
With a private inquiry. The form support might take, and the arrangements appropriate to it, are discussed directly rather than described here.
The independence of the writing is not negotiable. It is part of what makes the Work worth supporting.
Scope
Kyra’s Work is contemplative, educational, developmental, and facilitative. It is not psychotherapy, medical treatment, crisis support, or a substitute for licensed professional care.
Where clinical or urgent care is what a person needs, that care is the right care. If you are in crisis, please reach a licensed professional or an emergency service where you are, rather than sending an inquiry — inquiries are read personally and not continuously.
An inquiry does not guarantee availability and does not establish a working relationship. Kyra reads what is sent and responds where she is able. Fit is decided in both directions, and a decision not to proceed is not a judgment of the person who asked.
Participation is invitation-based rather than automatically bookable. There is no calendar on this site, and its absence is deliberate.
You do not have to know which pathway is yours.
Write plainly about what you are meeting and what you are asking for. One inquiry reaches all three pathways, and there is no form of words to get right.
